Mount Kailash

Mount Kailash is the greatest mystical library. People have been going there on pilgrimage for several thousand years. Generally, people speak of 10,000 to 12,000 years, but many say it is much more.

  • When the perception of the great beings opened and they came to know life in a much deeper way than people normally know, there was no way for them to share this with anyone because it was not in the perception of people. They were always looking for some people to transfer this knowledge to, but they were not always successful. It is very, very rare that a master finds people to whom he can transfer all his knowledge. Most masters leave without ever being able to transfer what they really want to transfer.
  • In general, most yogis and mystics in India always chose mountain tops because they were not frequented by people, they were safe places. They chose rocks to deposit their knowledge in an energy form. For thousands of years, realized beings always travelled to Mount Kailash and deposited their knowledge in a particular energy form. They used this mountain as a base and created this. For this reason, Hindus say that Shiva lives there. When we say that it is the abode of Shiva, it does not mean that he is still sitting up there or dancing or hiding in the snow or something. In yogic culture, we do not see Shiva as God, we see him as the Adiyogi, the first yogi, and the Adi Guru, the first guru. From Shiva on, many yogis from all traditions stored everything they knew in a certain form of energy here.
  • South Indian mysticism always says that their greatest yogi, who is the foundation of their tradition, Agastya Muni, lives there on the south side of the mountain. The Buddhists say that three of their most important Buddhas, Manjushree, Avalokiteshwara and Vajrapani, all lived there in the mountain. The Jains say that Rishabh lives there in the mountain. This does not mean that they actually live there, but they deposited all their work there because they could not give it to the people – a variety of social situations do not allow that. All 63 Nayanmars, the 63 great saints from South India, including one of the female saints, came there because they never had the opportunity to pass on their knowledge to the people around them because the social circumstances did not allow it. So it is a treasure house of knowledge.
    The Greatest Library
  • When you go to Kailash, you are like an illiterate person going to a huge library. Suppose you are illiterate and you go to a mega library. Everyone is sitting there reading all these books. You do not know a single word of it, but you will be overwhelmed. If you want to read it, you have to start at ABC. You need to learn the basics of how to decode life, starting with yourself. If you cannot decode this small part of life, decoding everything else in the cosmos is out of the question. That is why you need to see now, otherwise we cannot educate you. Only when you can see can I teach you the alphabet.
  • When you understand the alphabet, then you want to read the sentence. When you read the sentence, you want to read the book. If you read the book, then you want to know everything. If you have no taste, you will not even lean in that direction. Suppose the whole society is illiterate, it will never think of reading anything. If suddenly a man can read, they will look at him, “Wow!” What an empowerment, just because he can read.
  • When we were young, it was the same in Indian villages – there were only one or two people who could read. For example, there was a man and a woman – newly married and totally in love with each other. The husband had to go away for a month, but there was no cell phone, nothing – how could they communicate? While the husband was away, this person, who could read and write, wrote letters for the wife. She would say everything she wanted to say, he would write it all down, take it with him and send it off every three days. And the husband also had letters written for him.
  • If a letter came and there was only one person in the village who could read, you had to share your intimacy with that person. He would come home and read you this love letter. I witnessed that; it was very beautiful and touching to see. You should have seen the way they looked at him when he opened the letter and read it – he was like God to them because he could read that letter and tell them what was in it.
  • That’s exactly how it is here, just on a different scale. If you really want to decipher and know these different dimensions, you have to invest a certain amount of time and life. But if you just want to feel the power, you can come to certain places, be there, feel the power, enjoy it, take something with you
